Ready to bring your design ideas to life? 🧵✂️ This In person hands-on course introduces you to the foundations of pattern making, guiding you step-by-step through the process of creating your own custom skirt design. Over four creative weeks, you’ll draft, manipulate, and sew with confidence — building the technical and creative skills to start designing independently.

Class Dates: January 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 / 9:00 PM
Location: Sew It Goes Studio, London, Ontario
📌 What You’ll Learn
- Week 1: 📏 Take accurate body measurements & draft your own skirt block (sloper).
- Week 2: ✂️ Explore dart manipulation techniques, including slash and pivot methods.
- Week 3: 📝 Add fullness, pockets & waistbands using professional drafting techniques.
- Week 4: 🧵 Bring your design to life! Draft & sew your own custom skirt pattern.
🧷 Each week combines in-studio learning with take-home practice, allowing you to sew, fit, and refine your pattern between classes for the best results.

- Gain the confidence to draft and adapt skirt patterns
- Understand the anatomy of a pattern and how design changes affect fit

- Drafting paper, and muslin fabric for your base block

Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations & Refunds
🧾 Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change, but due to the preparation and limited spots in our classes, we have the following cancellation policy in place:
Deposits:
A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot in any class or course. This deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances once paid.
Cancellations made 14 or more days before the start date:
You may cancel your registration and receive a refund for any amount paid beyond the 50% deposit.
Example: if you paid in full, you’ll receive 50% back.
Cancellations made 7–13 days before the start date:
No refunds are available, but we can offer a credit for the remaining 50% paid (excluding your deposit) to use toward a future class.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date:
No refunds or credits can be issued, as materials and prep time have already been allocated. You are welcome to transfer your spot to a friend or family member at no additional cost.
Bundle Enrollments:
For multi-section or 12-week bundle registrations, the same policy applies per unstarted section. The initial deposit remains non-refundable.
Missed Classes:
Refunds or credits cannot be offered for missed classes. If space allows, we’ll do our best to provide a make-up session or a discounted seat in a future class.
