Take your pattern drafting to the next level! 🧵✨ In this intermediate-level course, you’ll create your own custom bodice block (sloper) — the foundation for tops, dresses, and outerwear. Learn to translate body measurements into a perfectly fitted pattern, refine shaping through dart manipulation, and design a bodice that truly fits you.

Class Dates: February 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 / 9:00 PM
Location: Sew It Goes Studio, London, Ontario
📌 What You’ll Learn
- Week 1: 📏 Take accurate upper-body measurements & draft your personal bodice block (front & back).
- Week 2: ✂️ Learn dart placement, shaping, and pivoting for bust, waist, and neckline adjustments.
- Week 3: 📝 Refine fit with shoulder, neckline, and armhole corrections. Add seam allowances and professional markings.
- Week 4: 🧵 Finalize your block for future design use.
🧷 Each week includes take-home work to reinforce classroom techniques — from sewing your muslin test to refining your pattern markings for the perfect fit.

- Adjust patterns for shaping and fit refinement with confidence
- Understand dart control, balance lines, and neckline/armhole shaping

Cancellations & Refunds

🧾 Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change, but due to the preparation and limited spots in our classes, we have the following cancellation policy in place:
Deposits:
A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot in any class or course. This deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances once paid.
Cancellations made 14 or more days before the start date:
You may cancel your registration and receive a refund for any amount paid beyond the 50% deposit.
Example: if you paid in full, you’ll receive 50% back.
Cancellations made 7–13 days before the start date:
No refunds are available, but we can offer a credit for the remaining 50% paid (excluding your deposit) to use toward a future class.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date:
No refunds or credits can be issued, as materials and prep time have already been allocated. You are welcome to transfer your spot to a friend or family member at no additional cost.
Bundle Enrollments:
For multi-section or 12-week bundle registrations, the same policy applies per unstarted section. The initial deposit remains non-refundable.
Missed Classes:
Refunds or credits cannot be offered for missed classes. If space allows, we’ll do our best to provide a make-up session or a discounted seat in a future class.
Need More Studio Time?
Need extra time to sew or practice between classes? Add a Sew It Goes Studio Membership for access to machines, tools, and workspace during open-studio hours. Perfect if you don’t have a home sewing setup or want extra studio time to experiment and perfect your designs.
Sewing Club Membership
For individuals seeking additional sewing hours for their courses or a fully equipped studio for their sewing needs.
